Story

Description

Managing inventory manually in warehouses and storage facilities can be time-consuming and inefficient. For inventory management it is very hard to manage manually because there are chances of errors. This project demonstrates an ESP32-based Smart Inventory Management System designed to simplify item tracking and improve warehouse productivity using LED-guided navigation.

In this system, every storage location is connected to an LED indicator. When a specific product is selected from the system, the corresponding LED glows automatically, helping workers quickly identify the correct storage location. This reduces human error, improves picking speed, and creates a more organized inventory workflow.

The project combines IoT automation, embedded systems, and smart warehouse technology to build a scalable and cost-effective inventory solution.

Features
  • ESP32-based smart inventory control

  • LED-guided item identification system

  • Faster warehouse item picking process

  • Reduces manual searching errors

  • Compact and scalable embedded design

  • Can be integrated with RFID or barcode systems

  • Supports future IoT cloud connectivity

  • Energy-efficient and low-cost solution

Working Principle

  • The inventory data is stored inside the system.

  • When a user selects a product, the ESP32 processes the request.

  • The LED connected to the corresponding storage rack glows automatically.

  • The worker can instantly identify the product location.

  • After picking the item, the system can reset or update the inventory status.

  • This smart guidance system minimizes confusion and improves warehouse efficiency.
