In the bustling event of Hardware Pioneers Max 2023, we had the pleasure of meeting Callum from Texas Instruments. He showcased a variety of products, including the BeaglePlay + BeagleConnect Freedom (BCF) and the MIKROE ecosystem, which are set to revolutionize the IoT and microcontroller industry.
The centerpiece of their demonstration was the BeaglePlay, equipped with the AM62 microprocessing unit and Wi-Fi chips broadcasting 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. The boards also feature the CC1352 SoC, a sub 1 GHz and 2.4 GHz microcontroller, which connects to the Beagle Connect Freedom.
The Beagle Connect Freedom, powered by the CC1352 chips, are designed for long-range communication. With a range of up to 100 kilometers and a battery life of up to 10 years, these devices are perfect for remote IoT applications.
In addition to the Beagleboard product line, Texas Instruments also showcased the 'motherlode' of Mikroe boards. These devices, compatible with any hardware that supports the Microbus, allow for quick development of various applications, from motor drives to 4G connectivity.
