Story

Story

Based on CrowPanel Advance 2.8" or 3.5", and EnSens Add-on.

This project turns your Elecrow CrowPanel Advance into a smart indoor air quality station. By plugging in the EnSens Add-on module (sold separately), you enable precise real-time monitoring of your indoor environment.

The EnSens Add-on integrates Bosch’s high-precision BME688 sensor and connects directly to the panel through a dedicated interface. It measures:

  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Barometric Pressure
  • Air Quality Index (IAQ)
  • CO₂ Equivalent (eCO₂)
  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

What’s Displayed on Screen

The dedicated application for CrowPanel displays:

  • CurrentTemperature, Humidity, and Pressure – along with arrow indicators showing the speed and direction of change.
  • IAQ (Indoor Air Quality Index) – a composite measure of air quality, with a side color scale indicating whether the air is clean, acceptable, polluted, or hazardous.
  • CO₂ and VOC Levels – two key factors affecting comfort and health. These values are shown with color-coded indicators to highlight potentially dangerous levels.
  • Settings Menu – allows switching between Celsius/Fahrenheit and mmHg/hPa units.

Easy to Install, Easy to Customize

The application is available open-source on GitHub: 👉 github.com/Grovety/CrowPanel_MiniMeteo

You can either:

  • Use prebuilt firmware for your screen size (2.8” or 3.5”), or
  • Modify the open-source code to tailor the app to your own needs.

Installation takes less than 2 minutes:Just download the firmware archive for your panel, unpack it, and run the included installer. It will automatically detect your panel and flash it with the ready-to-use MiniMeteo application.
