It would be cool to incorporate Devin Montes' PolyPanels into this kit  
Ive already designed too many lamps but I think it would be a cool combination!

It was! I made the customisable phone case one... i have litterally had them with me 24/7 since! (With further evolution of the basic design ofc )

Firstly, I wanted to thank you guys for this competition because it's mixing two of my favorite hobbies! By trade & education I'm an electronics engineer, but I fell in love w/ 3D printing about 2 years ago. I've only been modeling for just under a year, but I saw this competition as a means to challenge myself to to get better. 

I actually ended up doing two designs:

Genie Mood Lamp:
[inspiratioin - I thought it would be a fun play on words to make a lamp with a genie. The base is supposed to represent the smoke seen as the genie comes out of the lamp and all of the colors explode as it grows.]

Cuttlefish Mood Lamp:
[inspiration - I wanted to play with the idea of animals that can change color as the lamp shade! The angry cuttlefish is inking as it changes colors because cuttlefish usually change color as a defense mechanism.]

Hi, I'm Ilaria and thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my proposals with you.
This competition allowed me to deepen some aspects about 3D modelling that I didn't know before. 
Below I will tell you my proposals:

The Crazy Led Lamp

The idea for this design was born from the characteristics that distinguish 3D printing: by designing one solid inside the other, you can get a customizable design in its shape. In this case, no supports are needed during printing and with a few hours you get a lampshade that customizes the room and the table in different ways every day. The top of the lampshade is characterized by a design that is projected onto the ceiling according to the intensity of the LED.
On Myminifactory, I also uploaded two files to print the lampshade with two different colors, if you can do it with your 3d print.
Moreover, there are two versions of the lamp-shade (200 and 130) to allow you to print this lamp with any printer bed size.

The Voronoi Bulb Lamp

In this case, the design emphasizes a real lamp: the lampshade is a light bulb with a voronoi style diffuser. With this style, the LEDs diffuse the light in the room creating plays of light. The idea is to furnish the house and customize it with style both day and night.
