Thank you for this competition. There are nice designs out there already. I'm proud to present my approach for the Mood Lamp Competition: Art Nouveau Mood Lamp
I focused my design to comply to the ( hard ;) competition constraints for stem and shade and to be printable easily, even if your printer isn't that accurate. There are round guides to simply match and center to the original parts. No huge overhangs and no support is required. Printing the shade and the stems in spiralized vase mode always gives a nice result and finish because the printer movements are smooth. This reduces ringing artefacts to a minimum and no imperfect retractions or empty travels make the print looking ugly. To achieve a uniforn illumination of the shade I installed a 16xLED ring at the bottom instead of the LED stripe.
I'm using quite cheap printers like the Tronxy X5S and the Tronxy XY-2 Pro.
